Hello, my name is Deeksha, and I am the Wedding Coordinator at Constance Belle Mare Plage, a breathtaking resort kissed by sunny waves and located on the paradise island of Mauritius. Having been born and raised here, the beach has always been my escape, a place where I find peace, inspiration, and the magic that I now share with the couples who come to celebrate their love at our resort.
My journey into hospitality began with curiosity and a love for creating memorable experiences. After embarking on a wonderful adventure working on cruise lines that took me from Miami to Europe, I returned home with a heart full of stories, inspiration, and a desire to keep creating moments that truly matter. In 2023, I joined Constance Belle Mare Plage as a Guest Relation Assistant. From the very beginning, I was captivated by the excitement and joy that surrounded weddings. I found myself drawn to the role of the Wedding Coordinator, assisting, learning, and eventually taking the lead in creating magical celebrations by the beach.
For me, weddings are not just events, they are lifelong memories. Each couple brings their unique story, their dreams, and their emotions, and I see it as my mission to bring those dreams to life. Whether it’s a sunset ceremony framed by the sparkling waves, a romantic beachside dinner, or a private celebration filled with cultural traditions, every detail is crafted with care and love.
Of course, not every wedding day runs perfectly according to plan. There are ups and downs, and sometimes unexpected surprises, like the skies suddenly turning mischievous.
I’ll never forget a wedding where rain began pouring just as the ceremony was about to start. For a moment, it felt like the dream was slipping away, but instead of letting the weather win, our team came together in true Constance spirit. Within minutes, we moved everything to a beautiful villa, transforming it into an intimate, candlelit space filled with warmth and laughter. As fate would have it, the skies cleared later on, and the couple enjoyed the most enchanting photoshoot against a backdrop of glistening raindrops and golden sunlight.
That day reminded me that being discouraged doesn’t help, keeping a smile and moving forward always creates new opportunities for magic.
Another part of my role is understanding the emotions couples go through. Brides, especially, often carry stress on their big day whether it’s a small delay, a detail that shifts, or simply the weight of wanting everything to be perfect. I see myself not only as a coordinator but also as a calming presence. My role is to bear that stress for them, to comfort, reassure, and remind them that their day will be beautiful no matter what. The little things may change, but love is always at the centre, and that is what truly shines.
What I cherish most about my role is exactly that the trust couples place in me and the bond we create while crafting their special day. They come from far corners of the world, bringing their love stories to our shores, and together we create something unforgettable in this little corner of paradise. No two weddings are ever the same, each one is its own adventure, and that’s what keeps my passion alive every single day.
At just 24, I feel grateful to already be on this path that aligns with my heart. Being a wedding coordinator is more than just a career, it’s a journey of celebrating love, weaving emotions into experiences, and being part of moments that couples will cherish forever.
